Decorate Christmas Buttercream Cookies

Ingredients

  • Favorite Sugar Cookies
  • Buttercream
  • Food Colors (exact colors listed below)
  • Tips #2, #3, #4, #18, and Couplers
  • Gun Metal Grey Edible Art Decorative Paint
  • Glamorous Gold Edible Art Decorative Paint
  • Strawberry Diamond Dust Edible Glitter
  • White Shimmer Nonpareils
  • Red Chocolate Melts
  • Medium Bows Chocolate Mold
  • Sprinkles (exact sprinkles listed below)

Instructions

Santa Hat:
You will need red buttercream with tip #3 and white buttercream with tip #18. Use Celebakes pre-made red buttercream. Finish the cookie in strawberry diamond dust before piping the white rosettes for the brim and pom pom.
Snowman:
You will need white buttercream with tip #4, Outline and pipe snowman areas in white buttercream and then press into white nonpareils to cover. Use blue buttercream with tip #2 to pipe a cable knit scarf. To make the blue buttercream, use navy and espresso gel food colors. Use black buttercream and tip #2 to pipe the eyes, mouth and buttons. Use orange buttercream with tip #2 for the nose.
Christmas Tree:
You will need green buttercream with the coupler. Pipe a row of dots and use an offset spatula to pull each dot of icing. Pipe another layer of dots overlapping the previous row and repeat until you reach the top of the tree. Immediately apply sprinkles before icing crusts over. Pipe a trunk with brown buttercream and tip #3. To make the green buttercream, use cypress, leaf green and barely a dab of espresso gel food colors.
Reindeer:
You will need brown buttercream and tip #3, black buttercream with tip #2 and white buttercream with tip #4 for the antlers. After the antlers crust over, paint with gold edible paint.The nose is a piped red chocolate dot, dusted with strawberry diamond dust. To make the brown buttercream, use espresso gel food color.
Wreath:
You will need green buttercream and tip #18 to pipe swirls, rosettes and dollops. Immediately add sprinkles before icing crusts over. Add the molded red chocolate bow brushed with strawberry diamond dust. To make the green buttercream, use cypress, leaf green and barely a dab of espresso gel food colors.
Red Truck w/Tree:
Use an offset spatula to smear some blue buttercream for the truck window. You will need red buttercream with tip #3. You will also need black buttercream with tip #4, white buttercream with tip #3, green buttercream with tip #19 and brown buttercream with tip #3. Use the white buttercream to pipe the chrome on the truck. After it has crusted, paint with silver edible paint.
