Angel food is a light and airy cake baked in a tube pan. The pan is traditionally tall and round and features a removable bottom. The cake is usually cooled upside down to prevent falling. Angel food is often a healthy dessert choice and is delicious served with fresh fruit.

When selecting a pan consider the finish, whether the corners are perfectly square and the height of the pan to determine what will best fit your needs. Round cakes are usually iced with two layers of cake and a layer of filling or icing in the middle making it very common to have a set of 2 pans for each size cake.
