Cookie Preparation:
Roll out your favorite rolled sugar cookie dough evenly using pastry rulers. Cut out bunny-shaped cookies, flower blooms, cut the stems off, a 3” egg and a plaque.
Determine the size and cut out a rectangle cookie for the base.
Cut out some triangles and cut triangles in half. These will be glued to the back of each cookie to help them stand up.
Bake cookies according to recipe.
Prepare your favorite royal icing.
Set aside some stiff white icing for gluing, color some green for grass, and a small amount of black to pipe fine details.
Flood the rest in your chosen color scheme.
Bunny Head:
Dam and flood inner bunny ears and nose/mouth area. Use a scribe tool for smoothing and shaping the icing. Let it firm up.
Dam and flood the rest of the cookie. Use the scribe to smooth and shape. Let it harden.
Pipe fine lines in black for eyes, nose, and whiskers. Let it dry.
Bunny Body:
Dam and flood the entire bunny cookie. Use scribe. Let it firm up.
Dam and flood bunny arms and feet. Pipe bunny pads while the icing is wet. Shape with a scribe tool. Set aside to dry.
Glue the bunny head to the body with stiff icing.
Dam and flood tulip and daisy cookies in chosen colors. Shape with a scribe tool. Let the icing firm up.
Pipe a center on daisies with an accent color. Let cookies harden.
Easter Egg Cookie:
Dam and flood egg cookie in white icing. Use scribe. While icing is still wet, pipe fine consecutive lines in each color near the top. Drag a scribe tool through each color to create flower petals.
Pipe consecutive circles in each accent color and drag the scribe towards the center to make a flower.
Pipe fine dots randomly. Let it harden.
Happy Easter Plaque Cookie:
Roll out white fondant with wood grain texture.
Cut out using the plaque cookie cutter.
Attach to the cookie with piping gel.
Use snap-together letters to stamp your message.
Brush brown airbrush color onto the wood grain fondant. Let it dry.
Final Assembly:
Once all cookies have hardened, glue the triangle halves on with stiff icing.
Pipe stiffened green icing to create grass on the base cookie board.
Arrange the bunny scene in the grass and use extra stiff icing to help the cookies stand in place.
