Genie's Dream Royal Icing Recipe
Ingredients
- 1/3 Cup Genie's Dream Meringue Powder
- 1/2 Cup warm water
- 2 tsp of your favorite flavoring
- 2 lbs powdered sugar, sifted
- 2 Tbs light corn syrup
Directions
Whisk together meringue powder, warm water, and flavoring until frothy.
Using your mixer's paddle attachement slowly add powdered sugar and corn syrup. Continue to mix for three minutes on high. Your icing will turn white and have a fluffy look.
Do not overmix! Overmixing will cause the icing to be unstable.
This will produce a very stiff royal icing. To thin, add very small amounts of water (drops) at a time until you reach the desired consistency.
