Instructions

*Please note the chocolate mold used for the bunny bum shown in the picture is no longer available. The mold listed is a substitute and may be slightly larger than the molded piece in the picture.
Make your favorite rolled sugar cookie dough. Use our pastry rullers to roll your cookies to the perfect thickness. Cut cookies into 3 inch rounds. Bake and cool.
Begin by melting super white candy coating in a microwave-safe bowl, using 30-second intervals and stirring after each until it becomes fluid. Transfer the melted chocolate into a tipless piping bag or squeeze bottle. Proceed to fill each cavity of the bunny bum mold with the melted white candy coating, tapping the mold to settle the chocolate and release any air bubbles. Freeze the mold for 15-20 minutes until it turns cloudy, and the candy easily falls out when inverted onto parchment.
After allowing the candy to reach room temperature, prepare an edible food paint by mixing pink luster dust with grain alcohol. Use this paint and a fine brush to add details such as pink pads to the bunnies' feet, allowing it to dry.
Next, knead and color some fondant in yellow and blue. Roll out the colored fondant and use plunger cutters to cut out butterflies. Shape the butterflies to convey a sense of motion and leave them to dry.
For the cookie assembly, pipe a mound of chocolate buttercream in the center of a round cookie. Press the chocolate buttercream into cocoa nibs, chocolate jimmies or crushed Oreos, forming a dirt mound. Pipe green grass buttercream around the edge of the dirt mound. Place one of the bunny bums in the dirt, and position a fondant butterfly in the grass to complete the whimsical scene.
Enjoy crafting these delightful and visually appealing Bunny Bum cookies!
