How to Achieve Dark Buttercream Colors

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter
- 6 oz High Ratio Shortening
- 4.5 cups Powdered Sugar
- 2 tsp. Vanilla Extract
- 3-4 TBSP. Milk
Instructions
1. Mix butter and shortening until well combined. 2. Scrape down the bowl and add the vanilla or flavoring of choice. 3. Add powdered sugar in half cup increments. 4.When the frosting starts to become thick, add a tablespoon of milk. 5. Continue alternating the powdered sugar and milk. 6. Once all of the ingredients are added, scrape down the bowl then mix on medium-high speed until the frosting is light and fluffy.
