Dozen Chocolate Long Stem Roses
Ingredients and Supplies
  • candy coatings
  • squeeze bottle
  • 3D rosebud mold
  • sucker sticks
  • green candy writer
  • clips
  • sharp knife
  • florist tape
  • silk leaves
Melt any desired color candy coatings. Pour into a squeeze bottle. Cut rose mold on the lines. Cut off the end of the stick cavity so a long sucker stick may be used. Paint the calyx if desired with melted candy from a candy writer. Allow calyx to set up. With the candy coating from the squeeze bottle, over-fill half of the roses with coating. Let nearly set up, room temperature. Over-fill the other halves of the roses with coating and put sucker stick in place. Place the "almost set up" rose half on top of the unset mold containing a sucker stick and clip the two halves together with bull dog clips. Place in freezer until both halves of the rose are set. Remove 3D rose from mold and trim seam with a sharp knife. Wrap sucker stick with florist tape, adding leaves. Place in box with shimmering grass.

One pound of candy coating yields fifteen 3D roses.
