Football - Form cake mixture into the shape of a football. This is not an exact process; it is dependent on your interpretation of each piece. Once you have your shapes made, place them back in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to firm. Prepare for dipping by inserting coating covered stick into the bottom of your shape. Let set. Once set, hold shape over the bowl full of brown candy coating and spoon coating over the shape. Allow excess coating to fall; be careful not to tap the shapes – tapping could loosen the hold of the stick. Place shape in to holder and let dry completely. Use small parchment bag filled with white coating to draw details on pop. Let dry.

Baseball - dip pop into the melted white coating and tap off any excess coating. Place in holder to dry. Use small parchment bag of red coating to draw stitching.

Basketball - dip pop into the melted orange coating and tap off any excess coating. Place in holder to dry. Use small parchment bag of black coating to draw lines.

Tennis ball - dip pop into the melted yellow/green coating and tap off any excess coating. Place in holder to dry. Use small parchment bag of white coating to draw lines.

Soccer ball - dip pop into the melted white coating and tap off any excess coating. Place in holder to dry. Use small parchment bag of black coating to draw pentagons.

Golf ball - before dipping, take the rounded end of a paintbrush to add indents to the surface of the pop. There should be one single indent at the very top of the pop then proceed to make circles of indent all the way to the bottom of the pop; keeping the lines even. Dip pop into melted white coating holding the pop perpendicular to the chocolate until most of the coating has dripped back into the bowl. If this is not done, the indents will fill with chocolate and you will lose your detail. Turn upright and tap off any excess coating. Place in holder to dry.
