sandwich cake pan
buttercream icing
peanut butter
pastry filling of your choice
white or yellow pound cake recipe

Once cake is baked, allow to cool in pan to keep its shape. When cake is cool, remove from pan and cut off top to reveal the inside of cake. Cut loaf in half to look like slices of bread and set top slice aside. Mix peanut butter into buttercream icing. (The amount will depend on your preference and how much you like peanut butter; we used 1/2 cup of peanut butter to 2 cups of icing.) Spread icing on bottom cake slice; spreading slightly over the edge. Squeeze pastry filling over icing. Lay top slice on top of pastry filling.
