  • 8" 2-layer cake
  • white rolled fondant

  • white food color

  • paint brushes

  • pastry brush
  • buttercream icing
  • small round tip
  • pastry bag
  • powdered sugar
  • corn starch
Brush candy mold generously with powdered sugar and corn starch. Mold plaque using rolled fondant being careful to make back of plaque as even as possible. Carefully removed fondant from mold and allow to dry. Ice cake with fondant and place on cake stand or board using piping gel. Thin food colors with water in paint tray. Using brushes, paint details on to santa's face and allow to dry completely. Color a couple pieces of fondant red and green. Using holly leaf cutters, cut different sizes of leaves and roll tiny balls for berries. Brush all fondant pieces with pearl dust. Use piping gel to adhere plaque to top of cake. Pipe small bead border around plaque a bit larger border around the bottom of cake. Attach holly leaves and berries with piping gel.
