Instructions
Prepare the Chick Shape:
Microwave white candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval until completely melted and smooth.
Stir in yellow oil-based food coloring until the desired shade of yellow is achieved. If the candy thickens, add some paramount crystals and stir until fluid.
Pour the yellow melted candy into a sandwich cookie mold, filling each cavity halfway.
Insert a sandwich cookie into each mold cavity and fill the remaining space with more melted candy.
Tap the mold on the work surface to smooth the candy and release any air bubbles.
Place the mold in the freezer for 15-20 minutes until the candy appears cloudy and easily pops out of the mold.
Let the molded cookies come to room temperature before proceeding with decorations. Prepare Candy Clay Decorations:
Prepare orange and black candy clay.
Mold the orange candy clay into a beak and small plumules (feathers) for the chick's head.
Attach the orange candy clay pieces to the molded cookies using orange candy writer as "glue."
Use the orange candy writer to pipe the chick's feet onto the cookie.
Use the black candy writer to pipe eyes onto the chick's face.
Attach Popsicle Stick:
Dip one end of a popsicle stick into melted yellow candy melts and attach it to the back of each cookie, serving as the handle for the pop.
For the Lamb Shape:
Pour melted white candy coating into the sandwich cookie mold, filling each cavity about half full.
Press a sandwich cookie into the melted chocolate, ensuring it's centered.
Fill the remainder of the cavity with more melted chocolate to completely cover the cookie.
Tap mold on the work surface to smooth and release air bubbles.
Place the mold in the freezer for 15-20 minutes until the chocolate appears cloudy and easily pops out of the mold.
Let the molded cookies come to room temperature before proceeding with decorations.
Prepare the Lamb's Face:
Fill a small egg mold with melted white candy coating, tape to release air bubbles and place it in the freezer to set.
Shape the Lamb's Ears and Muzzle:
Use black candy clay or fondant to shape the lamb's ears and muzzle.
Decorate the Lamb's Face:
Attach the candy clay/fondant ears and muzzle to the molded candy egg using a melted black candy writer as "glue."
Use a black candy writer to pipe eyes onto the molded candy egg.
Attach the lamb's face slightly offset onto the molded sandwich cookie using melted candy coating.
Attach Popsicle Stick and Pretzel Sticks:
Dip one end of a popsicle stick into melted white chocolate and attach it to the back of the molded sandwich cookie.
Dip pretzel sticks into melted chocolate. Place on parchment paper to set up. Attach them to the back of the molded sandwich cookie to resemble the lamb's legs.
