Instructions

Instructions for Lattice Stenciled Cookies:
Prepare Cookie Dough: Use your favorite cut-out cookie dough recipe and plaque cookie cutters to cut out shapes. Bake according to the recipe instructions and let them cool completely.
Prepare Fondant Decorations: Knead desired colors into fondant and press them into a flower and leaves silicone mold. Set molded pieces aside to dry.
Roll Out Fondant: Use pastry rulers to roll out avocado-colored fondant. Use the same cookie cutter as your baked cookies to cut out fondant shapes. Attach them to the cookies using a small amount of piping gel.
Stencil Application: Place the desired stencil into a frame and position it over the cookie so that the stencil comes in contact with the cookie but is not supported by it. With an icing genie or scraper, apply medium peak royal icing over the stencil, scraping for an even layer. Gently peel back the stencil off the cookie to keep the details sharp. Leave the icing to dry completely.
Final Touches: Once the icing is dry, apply the pre-molded fondant flowers and leaves to the cookies using piping gel.
