This whimsical treat not only tantalizes your taste buds with the classic combination of popcorn and candy corn but also adds a touch of magic with its glow-in-the-dark allure.
When adding coloring to chocolate, sometimes the chocolate thickens. Be sure to add paramount crystals to help thin the chocolate. We recommend adding approximately 1 tablespoon per pound of chocolate, but more or less can be added as needed.
Ingredients
- 1 pound white chocolate
- 1/3 pound yellow chocolate
- 1/4 teaspoon Neon lumo food coloring
- 1 pound orange chocolate
- paramount crystals
- popcorn
Instructions
Place a sheet of parchment paper on a baking sheet. If the white chocolate is in block form, chop the chocolate into uniform pieces. Place the chocolate candy wafers or chopped chocolate into a microwave-safe bowl.
Melt the white chocolate melts in the microwave using 20 second intervals, stirring in between to ensure the chocolate melts evenly and doesn’t scorch. Continue melting until the chocolate is fluid.
Use a spatula and spread the melted chocolate on the parchment paper.
Place a sheet of parchment paper on a baking sheet. While the first layer is setting, pop the popcorn and melt the yellow candy melts with 2 teaspoons paramount crystals. Add the neon coloring.
When melted, drizzle the popcorn with the melted yellow chocolate. Gently stir with your hands.
Spread the popcorn on the baking sheet and immediately sprinkle with sprinkles. Allow the chocolate to harden for 10-15 minutes. When set, break the popcorn into pieces.
Melt the orange chocolate melts and 1 tablespoon of paramount crystals in the microwave using 20 second intervals, stirring in between to ensure the chocolate melts evenly and doesn’t scorch. Continue melting until the chocolate is fluid.
Pour the orange chocolate over the white chocolate. Immediately sprinkle with candy corn, popcorn and additional sprinkles if desired.
Immediately sprinkle the peppermint candy bits on top of the warm chocolate.
Allow to set up completely at room temperature before breaking into pieces.
