- spice cake baked in a cookie sheet
- apple pie filling
- nutmeg cream cheese mixture
- whipped cream or whipped topping
- chopped pecans
Using a 1 5/8" round cutter, cut cake rounds. Make cream cheese mixture by softening one 8-ounce block of cream cheese and mixing it with 1 cup of powdered sugar. Add 1 teaspoon of nutmeg and whip until light and fluffy. Fill pastry bag, fitted with large round tip, with mixture. Place a cake round in the bottom of push-up pop tube. Pipe cream cheese mixture on top of cake. Either spoon or pipe through a bag, two teaspoons of apple pie filling on top of mixture. Repeat layers as necessary to fill the tube; pushing cake down gently, to squeeze layers together. Top the final layer with whipped cream or topping and sprinkle with pecans.
