Prepare 2 layer 9" chocolate cake. Fill layers with chocolate buttercream and ice cake with thin layer of chocolate buttercream. Roll out chocolate fondant and cover cake. Lay angel stencil on cake and use a shaker to evenly dust powdered sugar over the stencil. Lift stencil straight up and tap off excess sugar. Pipe chocolate buttercream shell border using #16 tip along bottom edge. Place a white sugar pearl at the tail of each shell. Handle cake very gently so powdered sugar doesn't get smudged.
