Wedding Cake Pans

A wedding cake pan can be any kind of pan that is used to make a wedding cake. There is not one kind of pan that has to be used, although there are many different opinions on what is the best kind of pan. Wedding cake pans can be round, square or any other shape and are usually in a variety of sizes so that they can be stacked on top of each other to create a tiered cake.

Wedding cake pans to create multi-tiered cakes are most often aluminum, although other materials can sometimes be found. Pans are found in standard 2" or 3" height and multiple cakes can be torted or stacked to create the desired height. Good pans should have perfectly straight sides and sharp corners to create nice, sharp looking stacked cakes. Wedding cake pans should be durable so they can be used over and over again. When purchasing wedding cake pans be sure to purchase in sizes that look nice stacked on top of each other.

Another option when considering wedding cake pans is a less traditional option such as mini tiered cake. This is a small tiered cake, maybe 3" or 4" tall that is all in one pan. A wedding cake pan could also be a themed shaped cake pan such as a wedding bell or brides dress that is decorated especially for a wedding.
