Our twist on the classic caramel apple pops features a green apple-flavored candy melt, making it a convenient treat that's hard to resist. Add in crushed up toffee bits for an extra crunch & salted caramel candy melts for that perfect amount of saltiness.

Caramel Apple Sucker Recipe

The citric acid is added to enhance the sourness & fruitiness of the green apple flavoring.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound Green Candy Melts
  • 1/2 pound Salted Caramel Candy Melts
  • 40 drops Green Apple Flavor
  • 1/4 tsp Citric Acid
  • 1-2 Tbsp Paramount Crystals, melted
  • Toffee Bits
  • Green Sugar Crystals, if desired

Instructions

Place the green chocolate melts into a microwave-safe bowl.
Melt the chocolate using 20 second intervals, stirring in between to ensure the chocolate melts evenly and doesn’t scorch. Continue melting until the chocolate is fluid.

Add the Green Apple Flavor, Citric Acid, & melted Paramount Crystals. Stir until combined.

Transfer the flavored green chocolate melts into a tipless bag or squeeze bottle.

Add salted caramel candy melts directly into a tipless bag.

Melt the chocolate using 20 second intervals, kneading the bag in between to ensure the chocolate melts evenly and doesn’t scorch. Continue melting until the chocolate is fluid.
Once the green apple & salted caramel chocolates are melted, snip off the end of each bag. You want the opening to be small enough that you can use the same tipless bag/chocolate to drizzle the finished suckers later on.

Fill one cavity with green chocolate & tap the mold on the counter to smooth the chocolate.
Add a thin layer of toffee.

Fill the other cavity with melted salted caramel candy wafers & tap the mold on the counter to smooth the chocolate.

Add a sucker stick to each sucker.

To finish the suckers, pipe the opposite type of chocolate on the back to seal in the toffee. Tap lightly to smooth the chocolate.

Freeze the mold for 20 minutes.
After 20 minutes, the mold should be cloudy & the candy should be completely set. Remove each sucker from the mold & place on parchment.

Remelt the green apple and salted caramel chocolate in tipless bags in the microwave in 10 second intervals.
Drizzle each sucker with the opposing color chocolate & immediately top with green sugar crystals.
