Fruitcake Bonbon Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup Old English Fruit & Peel Mix
  • 1 lb Dry Fondant Mix
  • 2T Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 6T Butter
  • 1/4 Cup Chopped Pecans or Walnuts (if desired)
  • 1 lb White Chocolate Wafers

Instructions

Prepare the dry fondant mix by bringing whipping cream and butter to a boil. Stir in the dry fondant mix until incorporated. Add the fruit and peel mix along with the chopped nuts. Using gloved hands knead the fruit mix and nuts into the dry fondant mixture.
Use a one tablespoon cookie scoop to portion out the dry fondant dough. Roll into balls and place onto a parchment lined cookie sheet.
Melt white chocolate wafers in a microwave safe bowl at 15-30 second increments (depending on your microwave strength). Stop and stir between each 15-30 seconds. Microwave until the chocolate is 90% melted and let the risidual heat complete the melting process.
Dip each bonbon into the melted chocolate and place onto your parchment paper lined cookie sheet to cool.
Once all bonbons are dipped and the chocolate has hardened place them in an airtight container.
