Ingredients and Supplies
  • standard size cupcakes
  • yellow buttercream icing
  • turquoise, pink and purple fondant
  • princess cupcake wrappers
  • white sanding sugar
  • white disco dust
  • sugar pearls
Roll out turquoise fondant and use a plaque plunger to create a small plaque. Cut plaque in half length-wise, pull sides into crown shape and stand upright. Repeat with purple fondant. After crown is dry, use piping gel to attach sugar pearls and white disco dust. Roll out pink fondant and cut out small butterflies with cutters. Allow to dry with wings held up.
Use #10 tip and yellow buttercream to pipe swirl on top of cupcake. Sprinkle with white sanding sugar. Place crown and butterfly on top and insert cupcake into wrapper.
