Ingredients and Supplies
  • 6" and 9" round cakes
  • 12" round zebra cake board
  • white rolled fondant
  • aqua rolled fondant
  • black rolled fondant
  • edible Zebra frosting sheets
  • aqua buttercream icing
  • 1 1/2" and 2 1/2" round cutters
  • number cutters
  • piping gel
  • small round decorating tip
Cover 9" cake with aqua rolled fondant. Secure cake to board and prepare cake for stacking. Cover 6" cake with white fondant. With the image facing up, slide the edible frosting sheet over the edge of a countertop to release the image. Brush a thin layer of pipin gel on the back side of the edible frosting sheet. Do not brush the pipin gel all the way to the edge; it may be visible on the cake when pressed. Gently press frosting sheet to cake. Continue this with the top of the cake; the image will need to be matched as close as possilbe. Assemble cakes. Roll a 3/4" wide black ribbon to be attached to the bottom of the 6" cake with piping gel. Pipe a small border around the top of the 6" and the bottom of the 9" cake. Roll white fondant and cut one 2 1/2" circle and five 1 1/2" circles. Roll black fondant and cut numbers; adhere numbers to circles with piping gel. With piping gel, secure circles onto sides of cake.
