Shelf Life of a Truffle If the truffles will not be eaten within the given days, truffles may be placed in the freezer. However, lower storage temperatures are risky when the truffles are brought back to room temperature. Condensation may form on the truffles. For best results, place the truffles in a candy box that is lined with plastic wrap. Wrap the entire box with plastic wrap, and then a layer of foil. Place in the freezer for up to two months. Bring the chocolate to room temperature before unwrapping the box.
