Neon pink
Pink Sanding sugar
White Nonpareils
Instructions:
Prepare the Cookies:
Roll out your sugar cookie dough and cut out shapes using the sundae, tulip, daisy, and lilac leaves cookie cutters.
For the sundae cookies, discard the ice cream part and use the bottom of the sundae as the vase. Bake and allow to cool.
For the tulip cookies, cut off the leaves or stem before baking.
Prepare Flood Consistency Royal Icing:
Make flood consistency royal icing in the desired colors mentioned above.
Decorate the Vase (Sundae Cookie):
Flood the cookie with pale sky blue icing, outlining and filling the vase shape.
Use a scribe tool to smooth and shape the icing. Allow the cookies to dry overnight.
Airbrush the medallion stencil onto the cookie vase and let it dry.
Decorate the Lilac Leaves:
Outline and flood each half of the lilac leaves, following the natural curve of the leaf.
Use a scribe tool to smooth and shape the icing. Let it crust over for 20 minutes.
Outline and flood the second half of the leaf. Leave the cookies to dry overnight.
Decorate the Daisy Cookie:
Outline and flood every other petal of the daisy. Use a scribe tool to smooth the icing and let it crust over for 20 minutes.
Outline and flood the remaining petals. Repeat the process. When the icing has crusted over, pipe the center of the flower and sprinkle with nonpareils. Let it dry overnight.
Decorate the Tulip Cookies:
Separate the tulip cookies into three sections. Outline and flood each section, allowing the icing to crust over between each section. Leave the cookies to dry overnight.
Decorate the Tulip with Sugar Detail:
Outline and flood the entire tulip cookie. Use a scribe tool to smooth and shape the icing, allowing it to crust over for 20 minutes.
Pipe a swirl in the center of the flower and finish off at the bottom. Sprinkle it with sanding sugar and let it dry overnight.
Once all cookies are decorated and completely dry, assemble them in a vase or display them as desired. Enjoy your beautifully crafted Flowers in a Vase Cookie Set, a true masterpiece of both artistry and flavor!
