Cute Easter Sugar Cookies DIY

Decorating these cookies with flood consistency royal icing is a breeze!

Ingredients

  • Easter Cookie Cutter Set 18pc
  • White Royal Icing Mix
  • Soft Pink Soft Gel Paste™ Food Color
  • Neon/Electric Green Soft Gel Paste™ Food Color
  • Orange Soft Gel Paste™ Food Color
  • Lemon Yellow Soft Gel Paste™ Food Color
  • White Nonpareils - Celebakes
  • Lime Green Jimmies
  • Light Blue Jimmies
  • Light Pink Jimmies
  • Yellow Jimmies
  • Purple Jimmies
  • Orange Jimmies
  • Pink Jimmies
  • Black Sugar Pearls

Instructions

Prepare Flood Consistency Icing in the colors listed.
Use a scribe tool after flooding to smooth and shape the icing.
Allow cookies to dry overnight.
Lamb: Outline and flood the lamb except for the face. Dip into nonpareils. Let the icing crust over. When crusted over, outline and pipe the lambs face. Let the icing crust over. Attach a black sugar pearl for the eye with some icing. Pipe a pink nose. Let Dry.
Tulip: Outline and flood one petal section. Flood the green stem. Let crust over and repeat with each petal.
Bunny: Outline and flood the entire surface. While the icing is still wet, add pink flood for the inner bunny ears. Let the icing crust over. Pipe the bunny’s muzzle and pink nose. Attach black sugar pearl eyes with some icing. Add some icing just below the ears and add sprinkles. Let the cookie dry.
Carrot: Outline and flood every other section of the carrot and allow it to crust over. Repeat. Outline and flood carrot top. Let the cookie dry.
Egg: Outline and flood the entire surface of the cookie. While the icing is still wet, add different colors of horizontal lines. Use a scribe tool to pull the icing down through the colored lines and then pull the scribe up through the colored lines. Be sure to clean off the scribe everytime you pull through the lines. Let the cookie dry.
Chick: Outline and flood the entire surface of the cookie except the beak. Flood the beak area. Let the icing crust over. Flood the wing area and attach a black sugar pearl for the eye.
