Pillared, Two Plate
AVAILABLE STYLES OF PILLARED, TWO PLATE METHOD Two Plate Method/Clear Scalloped Plates/Pillars and Extenders Two Plate Method/Wilton Clear Round Plates and Pillars Two Plate Method/Wilton White Round, Heart, Hexagon, Square, Oval Plates and Pillars
ASSEMBLY AND SET UP Two plates, same size, are required for each set of pillars. Prepare the cakes: Place base tier on a sturdy base plate of at least 4 thickness of cardboard (covered with our decorative foil), masonite (covered with our decorative foil), cake drums, Super Strong Plastic Cake Stand, or deluxe white formica stand. Note: Glue Bush Stud Set #26-700 on the masonite or cardboard for ease in lifting. Cake ruffle may be added to any of the above. Place cakes on one plate of each size. Each plate should be 1" or 2" larger than the cake. Ice the cakes and let them crust. Note: After cakes have been iced and the icing has crusted, we recommend sprinkling dessicated coconut on crusted icing on top of the cakes (where the plate will sit) to keep icing from sticking to plates and coming off cake during disassembling. Assembly: For each tier, push pegs into the holes on the bottom of each plate (pegs should be just slightly shorter than iced cake). For extra strength, cut wooden dowel rods or plastic dowel rods the exact length of the pegs, or use cake jacks. Push the dowel rods or cake jacks into the cake (evenly spaced), where the plate will hide the dowel rods or cake jacks. Center the plate (with the pegs attached) on the cake, and push the plate into the cake containing the dowel rods. Final Assembly: Connect same size plates with pillars.
