“There are two ways in which a long stem can be achieved to use with this particular mold. 1) The ends of the sucker cavity can simply be snipped, which would allow a longer stick to extend past the cavity, creating the long stem rose. 2) To obtain a more realistic- looking, longer stem, a shorter stick can be used in the cavity space provided. Starting very near the base of the rose, attach a long piece of floral wire to the stick with floral tape to create a long stem rose. This method also allows you to add silk rose leaves when wrapping with the tape and looks lovely in a clear long stem rose box.”
