Roll out part of the dough and place in 6" mini ceramic pie dish. Fill with cherry pastry filling. Roll out additiional dough and cut hearts out of the dough, using heart cutters. Dampen edge of dough already in pie dish and place top heart designed dough over the pastry filling. Press the edges of the top and bottom dough together to seal and flute. Brush unwhipped whipping cream over the top, then sprinkle opal sanding sugar. Bake at 400 degrees, 35-45 minutes. Note: To avoid getting crust edges too brown, cover fluted edges with pie crust shields, removing the last 15 or 20 minutes of baking.
