Instructions
Put black food coloring in a bowl of water. Place spaghetti in water and let soak for several hours. Take out spaghetti and place on parchment paper. Allow to dry overnight. Spray hard candy/cookie haunted house mold with cooking spray. Push gingerbread dough into mold cavities and bake. Use gingerbread recipe from this site. Place mold on baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees. When lightly browned, remove mold from oven. Allow to cool a few minutes, then let house pieces fall from mold. Allow house pieces to cool. Cover a cardboard circle with black foil. Ice foil-covered cardboard with brown royal icing and cover with crushed chocolate sandwich cookies and orange sanding sugar for the walkway. Color royal icing brown, color of gingerbread house and use icing to glue pieces together on the iced cardboard. Place confetti tombstones on the black sugar/royal iced cardboard. Allow "glue" on house to set up. Outline the windows and doors with black royal icing, tip #4. Pipe ghosts on house with tip #5, white icing. Pipe pumpkins with tip #5, orange icing. Cut sticks of gum into smaller pieces and create shingles, attaching with royal icing. Attach candy corn with royal icing. Pipe a mound of black royal icing with tip #8. Push dried spaghetti into the mound, adding more spaghetti and more royal icing as needed to form the tree.
