Ingredients and Supplies
6", 8" and 10" topsy turvy layers
red, white and blue fondant
patriotic mix coarse sugar
patriotic picks
piping gel
white buttercream icing

Instructions
Cover 10" with red fondant, 8" with white fondant and 6" with blue fondant. Brush one tier lightly with piping gel. Fill bottom of large bowl with coarse sugar. Hold the cake with one hand and use the other hand to scoop up handfuls of coarse sugar and press against sides and top of cake. Keep pressing sugar onto cake until entire surface is covered. Repeat with remaining two tiers. Stack cake using your preferred method. Fill pastry bag fitted with #12 tip with white buttercream and pipe ball trim border along bottom edge of each tier. Insert patriotic picks on sides and top of cakes.
