1.With green gum paste about the size of a large pea form it into a teardrop. Dip a 26g wire with a hook on the end into gum glue and push it into the gum paste from the bottom. Flatten the top of the gum paste. Let dry.
2. Roll pink gum paste thin then roll on cornhusk vainer and cut two sets of petals. With x-acto knife cut little slits in the tips of each petal. One set of petals cut apart. Roll each set of petal tips thin with a thinning tool. Roll outside edges in at the tips just a little. Let dry.
3.Glue the set of petals that were not cut apart to the dried flower bottom with gum glue.
4.With yellow gum paste make a small mound the size of a small button for the center of the flower and glue this on top of the first set of petals. Insert the cut petals into the yellow between the fist set of petals.
5.Cut about 12 small yellow stamens very short and stick them into the yellow center. Let dry.
1.Roll green gum paste very thin. Cut calyx with cutter and roll each point long and thin. Gum glue the center and slide up the wire and attach to the bottom of the flower. Roll each point down.
1. Paint the bottom flowers petals a dark pink and paint the top flower petals a lighter pink. Add a little yellow to the center.
