If wanting the egg filled, mold tiny chocolate eggs and wrap in gold foil (cut 3x4" gold foil in half). Set aside. Put 4 teaspoons water into a bowl. work in 2 cups sugar. Mold both parts of egg mold by packing the sugar mixture in the egg mold halves. Immediately place a cardboard on top of the mold and invert mold and cardboard. Lift off mold. When outside of egg parts harden and center is still soft (several hours, or 1/2 hour in 170 degree oven), scrape insides as thin as possible with a sharp knife. Mold base and let set up (several hours or for 1/2 hour in warm oven). Make 4 mm beads with rolled fondant, bead-maker and super pearl dust. Attach the flat part at the base of the beads (so the whole bead will show on the outside of the egg) to one of the halves of the sugar egg with a bead of piping gel. With #4 tip, pipe royal icing around the edge of the egg over the piping gel and bead edge. If wanting to fill the egg with gold-wrapped chocolate eggs, put the eggs in the sugar egg half at this time. Set the remaining half of the sugar egg in place, being sure the beads show on the outside of the egg seam. Let royal icing harden. Make more 4 mm beads and attach to stand with piping gel, completely covering the stand with rows of pearls. Place the sugar egg (after the royal icing has hardened) on the sugar stand, attached with royal icing. With piping gel, place a strand of 4 mm edible beads around where the sugar egg and base meet. Make the teardrop border from a lace mold, rolled fondant and pearl dust. Attach to sugar egg with piping gel. Make a 3 mm strand of edible beads with rolled fondant, bead-maker and pearl dust. Attach above the teardrop border with piping gel. Pipe designs and dots on the egg with tip #1, royal icing. Great for display any time of year without chocolate eggs inside. There are many lace pieces and bead-makers available so create your own design of a Faberge Egg! But what a wonderful centerpiece For Easter, breaking open at the end of the day for the eggs!
