Butter Mints 
These delicious mints melt in your mouth and
have  an excellant texture to them.  Each piece
is created by pressing a bit of the mixture.
SUPPLIES NEEDED
8 3/4 Cups Powdered Sugar
1/2 cup melted butter
5-6 Tablespoons cold water
10 drops cinnamon oil
10 drops peppermint oil
1 teaspoon butter flavor
Food Coloring
Rubber Candy Mold

Combine in a large bowl powdered sugar,
cup melted butter, cold water, cinnamon
oil, peppermint oil and butter flavor. On
a smooth dry surface, knead until mixture
is smooth and the consistency of pie
dough.  Add more water, a drop at a time
if  necessary.  Color with food coloring.
Pinch a small piece and roll into a ball.
Push into a rubber mold.   Remove any
excess candy.  Push another glob of the
candy against candy in the mold to pull
molded candy from mold.   Let stand at
room temperature 2 to 4 hours, then store
in an airtight container up to 4  weeks.
All of the mints look great done in one color, but if you want
to enhance the look of your mints try the following method.
Two-Tone Butter Mints
SUPPLIES NEEDED
8 3/4 Cups Powdered Sugar
1/2 cup melted butter
5-6 Tablespoons cold water
10 drops cinnamon oil
10 drops peppermint oil
1 teaspoon butter flavor
Food Color
Coloring
Rubber Candy Mold

Combine in a large bowl powdered sugar,
cup melted butter, cold water, cinnamon oil,
peppermint oil and butter flavor. On a smooth
dry surface, knead until mixture is smooth and
the consistency of pie dough.  Add more water,
a drop at a time if  necessary.   Divide into two
parts.  Color with the two desired colors you
want.  Press one color into the detail of the
rubber mold.  Roll the remaining color into a ball
and press on the candy in the detail and finish
filling the mold.   Remove any excess candy.
Push another glob of the candy against candy
in the mold to pull molded candy from mold.
Let stand at room temperature 2 to 4 hours,
then store in an airtight container up to 4 weeks.
